Our thoughts also matter

Don’t we just wish our thoughts didn’t count!
Don’t we just wish that only our actions count?
Our thoughts also matter! Arh!!

Our sinful nature thinks about sinful things. Period!

Our sinful nature always wrestles the Holy Spirit in us to overpower us.
Our sinful nature wants to control what we think so we can dishonour the Holy Spirit.

Unknown to us, we throw our support behind our ‘pleasurable’ selfish sinful nature.
And ‘voila’! We sink spiritually!

Help us Lord to always be sensitive, listening and following the prompts of the Holy Spirit instead of our sinful nature, so we can live a peaceful and abundant life, in Jesus’ name!
